At Standard Middle School, we have two choirs that students may enroll in...
Concert ChoirConcert Choir is open to beginning and intermediate singers ranging from grades 6-8. Concert Choir members participate in at least four concerts on the SMS Campus each year. After completing at least one year in Concert Choir, students may choose to audition for placement in Warrior Choir.

Warrior ChoirAdvanced singers with at least one year of choral experience may audition to be a part of the Warrior Choir. Students in this ensemble participate in at least four concerts on the SMS Campus, as well as festivals and competitions all over Kern County. The SMS Warrior Choir functions as both a class, and as a touring ensemble that represents Standard Middle School to the surrounding community.
